Tiwari was born on July 14, 1965 in the small village of Atarwalia near at Mohania, Kaimur district, Bihar, India. He later moved to Varanasi to pursue a career in music.
Career
Tiwari began his career as a playback singer in 1996, singing more than 2,000 songs over 7 years. In 2003, he decided to become an actor and took a role in the film Sasura Bada Paise Wala. Made on a budget of Rs. 3 million, the film went on to gross over Rs. 200 million and established Tiwari as one of Bhojpuri cinema's most successful actors. Tiwari followed with the financially successful films Daroga Babu I Love You and Bandhan Toote Na. In 2008, Tiwari entered Hindi cinema with a supporting role in Deshdrohi. He also tried his luck in politics by contesting election from GORAKHPUR CONSTITUENCY ON SAMAJWADI PARTY TICKET BUT LOOSED IT.
The same year the Dutch government issued a 44 Euro cent stamp with Tiwari's image. Tiwari's spokesman said that he is popular in the Netherlands because of the large population of Bhojpuri residents that live there. Tiwari co-hosts the television reality programme Chak De Bachche along with model Roshni Chopra. He will make his directorial debut in 2010 with the Hindi language film Hello Darling which stars Ishaa Koppikar and Celina Jaitley. Tiwari continues to record music and release new albums. He performs around the world in concert, singing in a style that mixes traditional Bhojpuri folk songs with a more contemporary sound. Manoj Tiwari also says that he has been promoting Bhojpuri all over the world wherever there is a sizeable Bhojpuri population, like in Mauritius and Suriname which is a former Dutch colony. He has already opened Bhojpuri academies in various cities all over the world including Suriname.
Veena Malik has claimed to be born on 26 February 1980 in Lahore, Pakistan, to a doctor working at an army medical hospital. The family soon settled in Rawalpindi after the child was born. Her grandmother named her Zahida but the parents insisted on keeping Veena as the girl's first name. Her father's busy schedule led her grandmother to become Veena's guardian from the time she was six years old and nurtured her until her teens when she died.
When she grew up, Veena expressed interest in joining films and her grandmother encouraged her. Her father however pondered over his daughter's fate in an industry that was deemed unsuitable for girls in Pakistan and looked down upon by the mostly conservative middle-class, and he initially resisted his daughter's attempts to pursue a career in entertainment. Veena received continuous support from her grandmother however, whose persuasiveness finally enabled her father to allow her to join film and television. People still, some even close to her, scorned her choice of career.
Veena Malik, born Zahida Malik, is a Pakistani actress, comedian and model.
Coming from a conservative Muslim family, Veena has faced great adversity from members of her family, especially her father,on her decision to join show business but has emerged as one of the leading women in the Pakistani television and films with her abilities to mimic others and improvise. Veena has worked as a representative at the World Health Organisation for two years and sponsors a child at the SOS Children's Village, an NGO based in Pakistan working with orphaned children.
Like all people desiring to join the industry in Pakistan, Veena started with the film industry in Lahore, the home of Lollywood, an amalgamation of the city's name with Hollywood. She was to meet the likes of Mukhtar Ahmed and Jarar Rizvi in 1999, who landed her a role in the epic Pakistani film Tere Pyar Mein. By the end of the year, she was already being considered for other such projects when she became a part of a growing scandal.
Ali Saleem Khusra' (Urdu: علی سلیم), best known by his alter-ego Begum Nawazish Ali, is a Pakistani television host, actor, scriptwriter and impressionist. He broke into the mainstream audiences through his impersonations of late prime minister Benazir Bhutto, and later and playing the cross-dressing Begum Nawazish Ali on various television channels, including the Aaj TV network, Dawn News and Geo TV network. Although currently, his alter ego of Begum Nawazish Ali has now become his primary persona as he rarely appears as the male Ali Saleem. At 27-years old he is a bisexual man born to a retired colonel father in Pakistan Army and his wife, a former government official.
Biologically born a male, but asked about his sexuality, Ali would sometimes call himself gay, bisexual or at other times even a transsexual.
Early life and being Benzair
Born in Islamabad to a colonel in the Pakistan Army, Ali had everything he desired. From a young age, he desired and fantasized about being a woman. It was in his teens that he got to do a play for Yasmeen Ismail at the Arts Council clad in a burqa offering the audience with his monologue that people saw his inner lady come out. They would flock him and ask him in disbelief of how a child can impersonate a woman older than his age. Ali now says that because his audience was older than his age then, he felt he matured earlier.
His breakthrough in the entertainment industry came when he started imitating his childhood heroine, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto, from the way she talked to the way she dressed. So loved were his performances that on the occasion of Zohaib Hassan's dholki, Bhutto herself asked Ali to impersonate her. Zohaib's sister Nazia had warned Ali not to stating the prime minister had a bad sense of humour. But, eventually, when asked he even made the prime minister burst out in laughter.
The birth of Begum Nawazish Ali
His father and mother would soon seek a divorce, during which Ali had to come to the city of Karachi. Here he came to terms with Imran Aslam, a political satire writer who would tell him of a television channel in the pipeline, that would later be called Geo TV. Ali's Benazir impressions were famous among his friends and Imran told him to take it to the airways with the television channel once it got aired. A show dealing with political humour around the time of election in the country aptly named Hum Sub Umeed Se Hain (idiomatically translated as We Are All Expecting (Pregnant), but meant to translate as We Are All Hopeful) showed people impersonating the election candidates. Ali would do his Benazir act here for the first time on the tube.
After a while with the act, Ali would came to realise that the act alone wouldn't shape his career and he had to do more with his talent. It was from this very act that Ali gained the nickname BB or bibi meaning lady in Urdu. Omar Adil, an orthopaedic surgeon by profession, doctor to Madam Noor Jehan was a close friend of his. With an extensive research into Pakistani cinema under his belt and ties to multiple television channels, the doctor suggested Ali with the idea of having a dragged-up character as a host for a talk show. Thus, Begum Nawazish was born.
Late Night with Begum Nawazish Ali
Ali cross-dresses as a woman wearing a sari and asks influential guests provocative questions in his show Late Night with Begum Nawazish Ali. He would invite two guests at a time to be interviewed. The name Begum Nawazish Ali was suggested by Dr. Adil talking of his neighbour with the same name, wife to a colonel. Ali could relate strongly to this persona as an alter ego. The facts that the Begum they created lived a wealthy life living off the money of her late armyman husband and was a socialite, bore resemblance to the life Ali himself had lived in his earlier days. The rights to the show were sold to Aaj TV where the show airs every Saturday night.
[edit]Courting controversy
The show has invited the likes of business tycoons, industrialists, actors and actresses, government and religious leaders. Begum would flirt with any one of the male guests "using suggestive banter and sexual innuendo". It's just this use of gestures and acts that Begum has earned a nasty reputation amongst the more fundamentalist ideals of the religious leaders (where some are even amused by his show) but has still ventured into the hearts and minds of the younger generations. While talking of taboo topics like "sex" in Pakistan where it is strictly off-limits even trying to mention it, Ali has been spared a backlash only because when on-the-air he is personifying a woman. Women, however, say that they are still afraid to do what Ali is doing on the show.
Where television talk shows in Pakistan are reluctant to take on criticism for the military backed Pakistani government, Begum had always been critical of a general seated as a president.Due to these critical claims, former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf was opposed to the show's airing. This fair bit of opposition led to the temporary closure of the show.[citation needed] Offers however extended from across the border in India for a follow-up of the show by the name Begum. The reformatted show aired 26 episodes with Indian celebrities on the channel 9X from India.

Seema Parihar is a woman of words—of too many words.
And, despite the poor show of film Wounded in which she plays herself as a Chambal bandit, the 37-something Parihar appears to have learned the ropes rather well in terms of striking a rapport with the electorate.
While campaigning at Orai, the scorching morning sun holds hardly any significance to her. She walks briskly -- through the streets, dusty passages, dodging sleeping dogs and snoozing cats, and offers plenty of words to housewives rolling rotis, women picking lice from their hair and groups of squatting, leisurely chatting men
And the apparently poor response does not deter her. Some smile shyly in greeting. Others gaze blankly. She often holds the women's hands, and seeks blessings from every elder who is now a Chacha to her.
Do you take precautions from the heat while taking a cycle ride to the nearest market? Are the hand pumps working? What were the children doing, studying or not? Like the gestures earlier, the words came in a rush, almost spontaneously.
At times, dusty mats are spread out in the courtyard, and few offer her tea. She hardly has time for these niceties but Parihar does not refuse.
She listens with rapt attention before unleashing volleys of suggestions on how to get things done at the government level. "The women should unite and raise their voice against any form of oppression," she says.
But, she is not tempted to shoot off the swear words she mouths in the film to correct the system which she believes needs an overhaul. As of now, Seema Parihar is standing chummy-chummy with the neighbourhood women.
Fielded by Indian Justice Party, Seema Parihar is contesting from Mirzapur —a parliamentary constituency once manned by Phoolan Devi. Although, she admits having picked the seat because it once belonged to Phoolan, Seema does not really follow Phoolan's aggressive campaigning style.
Hers is rather a subdued "jan sampark abhiyaan", which has failed to evoke the desired results. And, as she tries piecing together her campaign, there is plenty of skepticism around.
"She is no Phoolan. She does not have the charisma," says Laxmi Upadyay, a small time seed seller, who prefers to move on for a marriage ceremony instead of waiting for Seema, who is scheduled to arrive at Shaseshpur, his village.
Seema, however, is unruffled. "I know I am no Phoolan. Nor have I any desire to become one. This is just the beginning. Abhi to bahut Ladna hai logon ke liye…purey dum ke saath," she asserts.
Despite the outwardly off hand touch, Seema indeed is working carefully on her career script. The Wounded calendar is out and being distributed by a bunch of supporters apparently to compensate for the lackluster responses. "The film catalogues a woman's trials, deprivations and her angst against a society dominated by men," says a supporter. "Girls don't run away to the jungles of Chambal by choice. Situations force them," says Parihar.
A terror by 20, Parihar, however, wants to bury her past including those "few instances" when she took up the gun — all makes from .303 to the AK series— forever.
The mother of 13-year-old son Swagat, Parihar has reasons to start afresh. "I have severed all links with the past. I have a son to bring up, and a entire society to look after," she tells the electorates.
This is the voice of a mother, and a politician. The dacoit in her seems dead.
Mirzapur, however, seems to have boiled down to a battle between BSP's Romesh Dubey and BJP's Asharam Yadav.
Congress candidate Shaukat Ali Ansari also appears struggling hard to get into the fight along with former Samajwadi Party MP Ramrati Singh Bind.
Seema Parihar, a reformed dacoit is there in Season 4 of Bigg Boss. She has to take special permission Allahabad high court to get inside the Bigg Boss house. Former woman bandit Seema Parihar, who had allegedly killed 70 people and abducted over 200 before surrendering to the police a few years ago appeared in a movie ‘Wounded’. Wounded is basically her own story.
